An Introduction to Working with Clay in Therapy

You will have the opportunity to learn and take part In the following:

• How to use clay as a therapeutic tool.
• The theory behind using clay with clients in therapy.
• An opportunity to experience using the clay for yourself with a therapeutic aim.
• Creative ideas of how to use clay to assist with client issues in a therapy session.

Equipment needed.

If you would like to take part in the creative aspect of this workshop then you may find the following items useful to have available during the day. This is a suggestion and not compulsory.

• Air dry clay
• Board with cloth over the top to prevent clay sticking
• Tools to make marks on the clay (anything that will make a mark can be used)
• pot of water
• cloth for wiping hands & sponge for wiping clay
• rolling pin
